The Teen Driving Clinic, presented by the Glacier Lakes Quattro Club, is the perfect place for the teen driver to have fun and improve driving skills at the same time. The driving clinics, held on the premises of Dakota County Technical College, are designed to help young drivers improve their ability to control a vehicle in both normal and emergency situations. The all-day school is a combination of classroom and driving exercises. Students have a personal driving instructor throughout the day as the teens participate in exercises to practice techniques including safe braking, accident avoidance, driving on slippery roads and reacting to over or under-steering a vehicle. Each student driver has an instructor in the car at all times to advise, praise and coach.
The cost per student is $149. Our wonderful local sponsors, Carousel and Maplewood Audi, are once again offering a $50 rebate (one rebate per first-time student) with proof of program completion. This brings the final cost down to only $99.
2012 Schedule:
- Sunday, April 15
- Saturday, May 5
- Sunday, June 10
- Sunday, August 26
- Saturday, September 15
Registration for the Teen Driving Clinics will open soon. For more information on our driving clinics, please visit the Teen Driving Clinic Page. You do NOT need to own an Audi to participate.
Our Adult Car Control Clinic provides a similar opportunity tailored for drivers age 20+. The cost for the day long Adult Car Control Clinic is $149 per driver. Please note, a rebate is not offered for the Adult Clinic, and participants age 20+ must be Audi Club North America members. To join or renew, visit the ACNA website HERE.
2012 Schedule: TBD
Adult drivers may be allowed to register as an adult student at the Teen Driving Clinics if space allows. Please inquire at events@glacierlakesqclub.org.

May 21, Spring Fun Drive Recap

Six club members ignored the gloomy weather report and enjoyed a nice drive down to Henderson MN where we had coffee at the Bittersweet Café. The group picture below was taken at the Firemans Park the appointed rendezvous spot in Chaska. Mark Pladson led the group down through various county scenic byways for the 47 mile route to Henderson. The weather cleared enough so we were able to enjoy the quiet misty morning drive. The wet pavement drew a sharp contrast to the spring green leaves bursting out from a long winter and the flowering shrubs popped color into the landscape which still had wisps of fog lingering in the groves and valleys.

We had a great turnout for this year’s annual Ice Out Open House. The weather was beautiful and everyone seemed to enjoy the food, activities and company of fellow car enthusiasts.
Thank you to Anderson Motorsport for once again hosting this fun event, to LaMettry’s for sponsorship of the Show and Shine and to our generous sponsors who donated raffle items.
