We had a very good turn out of members for our Member Appreciation Social on Sunday, December 18th at Woody’s Grille in Eden Prairie. Everyone enjoyed the hors d’oeuvres, desserts and beverages and company of fellow members. We also collected monetary donations for our Annual Toys for Tots Drive, which is used to purchase bicycles for the less fortunate children in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated! It was great seeing everyone — we look forward to our next member social. Stay tuned for updates!

Saturday afternoon and Sunday all drivers participated in controlled run group lapping on the 3.1 mile Road Course.
The Saturday evening barbecue, held in the Quattro Garage, was also great fun and a perfect finish to day one of driving!

Teen & Adult Car Control Clinics – 2012 Schedule Coming Soon!

Filed under Event Calendar, Teen Driving Clinics
Our Teen Driving Clinics and Adult Car Control Clinics are wrapped up for the 2011 season. Watch for the 2012 schedule to be announced soon!
The Teen Driving Clinic, presented by the Glacier Lakes Quattro Club, is the perfect place for the teen driver to have fun and improve driving skills at the same time. The driving clinics, held on the premises of Dakota County Technical College, are designed to help young drivers improve their ability to control a vehicle in both normal and emergency situations. The all-day school is a combination of classroom and driving exercises. Students have a personal driving instructor throughout the day as the teens participate in exercises to practice techniques including safe braking, accident avoidance, driving on slippery roads and reacting to over or under-steering a vehicle. Each student driver has an instructor in the car at all times to advise, praise and coach.
The cost per student is $149. Our wonderful local sponsors, Carousel and Maplewood Audi, are once again offering a $50 rebate (one rebate per first-time student) with proof of program completion. This brings the final cost down to only $99.
Our Adult Car Control Clinic provides a similar opportunity tailored for drivers age 20+. The cost for the day long Adult Car Control Clinic is $149 per driver. Please note, a rebate is not offered for the Adult Clinic, and participants age 20+ must be Audi Club North America members. To join or renew, visit the ACNA website HERE.
For more information on our driving clinics, please visit the Teen Driving Clinic Page. You do NOT need to own an Audi to participate.

May 21, Spring Fun Drive Recap

Six club members ignored the gloomy weather report and enjoyed a nice drive down to Henderson MN where we had coffee at the Bittersweet Café. The group picture below was taken at the Firemans Park the appointed rendezvous spot in Chaska. Mark Pladson led the group down through various county scenic byways for the 47 mile route to Henderson. The weather cleared enough so we were able to enjoy the quiet misty morning drive. The wet pavement drew a sharp contrast to the spring green leaves bursting out from a long winter and the flowering shrubs popped color into the landscape which still had wisps of fog lingering in the groves and valleys.
