2012 Ice Driving Schedule and Registration

The Glacier Lakes Chapter will again be hosting our annual series of Ice Driving Clinics on Lake Cynthia near Prior Lake, MN.  Drivers do a variety of car control exercises on the ice and get to put their skills to the test on a curvy road course.  This is a great opportunity to sharpen winter driving skills and have a lot of fun at the same time.   Drivers of all skill levels are welcome, however participants age 20+ must be a current member of Audi Club North America to attend.  Special instruction will be offered for teen drivers age 19 and under.  ACNA membership is not required for teen participants.  To join Audi Club North America or renew membership, visit the website at http://www.audiclubna.org/join-renew.

NOTE:
This year, participants who are not Audi Club members are eligible to receive a 1-year membership in the Audi Club North America with their paid participation fee, courtesy of the Glacier Lakes Chapter. Please see the event master or contact us for more information about this special offer

Teen & Adult Car Control Clinics – 2012 Schedule Coming Soon!

Filed under Event Calendar, Teen Driving Clinics

Our Teen Driving Clinics and Adult Car Control Clinics are wrapped up for the 2011 season.  Watch for the 2012 schedule to be announced soon!

The Teen Driving Clinic, presented by the Glacier Lakes Quattro Club, is the perfect place for the teen driver to have fun and improve driving skills at the same time.  The driving clinics, held on the premises of Dakota County Technical College, are designed to help young drivers improve their ability to control a vehicle in both normal and emergency situations. The all-day school is a combination of classroom and driving exercises. Students have a personal driving instructor throughout the day as the teens participate in exercises to practice techniques including safe braking, accident avoidance, driving on slippery roads and reacting to over or under-steering a vehicle. Each student driver has an instructor in the car at all times to advise, praise and coach.

The cost per student is $149.  Our wonderful local sponsors, Carousel and Maplewood Audi, are once again offering a $50 rebate (one rebate per first-time student) with proof of program completion.  This brings the final cost down to only $99.

Our Adult Car Control Clinic provides a similar opportunity tailored for drivers age 20+.  The cost for the day long Adult Car Control Clinic is $149 per driver.  Please note, a rebate is not offered for the Adult Clinic, and participants age 20+ must be Audi Club North America members.  To join or renew, visit the ACNA website HERE.

For more information on our driving clinics, please visit the Teen Driving Clinic Page.  You do NOT need to own an Audi to participate.
