Around 35 people in a total of 16 Audis and VW’s turned out October 9 for a drive down to Wabasha, via some fun, twisty roads. A stop along the way at the Buena Vista Overlook near Alma, WI, offered us a chance to visit and take in the beautiful scenery along the river banks. We arrived in Wabasha for lunch and a visit to the National Eagle Center for a special program with a live eagle. The weather was sunny and unusually warm for October — we could not have asked for a nicer day for the drive!
Thank you to GLQC volunteers and to all of the participants for coming out for this fun event.

A cold and rainy start to the day did not discourage the teens from having a great time. Once again, there were smiles on the faces of all our young participants as they made their way through the exercises with their personal instructor. The students all progressed nicely through the day and took away the driving skills and confidence to make them better, safer drivers.
Thank you to our sponsors, Carousel and Maplewood Audi, and many thanks to our instructors / volunteers who gave their time to make this a great season of Teen Driving Clinics. We look forward to doing it again next year.

More than 100 people turned out over the morning and afternoon for our annual pig roast and picnic. Everyone enjoyed the good food, good company and the activities.
Some spectacular cars were on display, including the R8 Spyder. Audi owners had a chance to show off their cars in the Show and Shine sponsored by LaMettry’s Collision. The top vote getter was a 1987 Audi Coupe.
Thank you to Carousel Audi, Brandon Mehdizadeh and LaMettry’s Collision, Kent Anderson, Marianne Goren, the entire GLQC board and all of the other volunteers who helped put this event together.

Five adults participated in our Adult Car Control Clinic at Dakota County Technical College on Sunday, April 18. The day consisted of short classroom sessions and a LOT of behind the wheel time. Because of the small group, participants we were able to do a variety of exercises on both dry and wet pavement, increasingly pushing themselves and their vehicles. Participants were able to have both in-car instruction and the opportunity to go it on their own. The weather was gorgeous and everyone had a great time. Thank you to the instructors, volunteers and participants!
